This is the latest kitchen gadget from Daewoo. It is a microwave that has both a front door and back door. It goes both ways ... like a bisexual (sorry, had to fit that Family Guy joke in somewhere). This is probably best used in kitchens that have middle islands or barriers that can be accessed from both sides. It is a pretty simple idea that will likely make a ton just because it is innovative and caters to the lazy. This two-door microwave should be available later this year. – Travis Hudson

We knew this Daewoo-built vehicle wasn't only sold in the US to desecrate the name of Le Mans; it was also sold as the Opel Kadett (a name virtually impossible to malign), as well as under the Vauxhall banner. What we didn't know is that the Koreans also sold it under their own badge as the LeMans. But they did make a commercial for it featuring everyone's favorite fictional supersonic helicopter and a cute chick. Bumbeck's hoping she smells faintly of garlic. The rest of us are praying for the return of the crew of the PT-73.

Hallo allemaal,
Ik heb nu een daewoo matiz en ben er altijd erg blij mee geweest. Goedkoop in verzekring en belasting en weinig ruimte nodig om te parkeren.
Nu is de mijne uit 1998 en wil ik hem verkopen en een nieuwere kopen, maar... Zal ik een nieuwe daewoo nemen uit bijv. 2003 voor 6000 euro of een peugeot 206 uit 2002/2003 voor 6000/7000 euro?

Daewoo announced its voice-activated microwave oven, a good listener in the kitchen which understands anyone who talks to it. That is, as long as you tell it one of its 40 voice commands it's able to recognize. You just tell it what you'd like to cook, and it goes on its merry way, nuking it with 95% accuracy.
Seems like it would be fun to talk to your oven for the first day or two, but really, how hard is it to push a couple of buttons? No pricing was announced, but the company says it will be available sometime in 2007. – Charlie White

The GEs interactive Kitchen of the Future is still a concept, but the interactive technology is no more just a concept with Daewoo taking the lead with its Voice Recognition Microwave. The voice-activated microwave oven stores up to 40 voice commands and will respond to anyone who talks to it. Nothing special here folks as it's just another 1366x768 panel with 10:000: contrast ratio and a brightness of 1,500 nits. We were half-way thinking that this PDP was from last years IFA as it sports a DVI connection and lacks the more modern HDMI input found on, dare we say, 98% of all current HDTVs. Oh and it lacks a tuner so change that last statement to "98% of all high-def monitors." Daewoo Lucoms apparently decided to get into the ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) game, shipping its handsomely-styled Solo M1 which has a 7-inch touchscreen, 1.3-megapixel video camera and a DMB TV tuner for those Asians fortunate enough to have access to such signals. Its powered by an Intel Celeron 900 processor.It looks like the Korean company has attempted to make the small Microsoft Tablet PC a little more versatile by adding a cradle station to its bag of tricks. But if its anything like its Korean competitor, the Samsung Q1, its just another pretty face which is awkward to use and doesnt do much of anything very well. We are quite fond of its red trim, however.
