U.S. says no evidence Pakistan knew about bin Laden (Reuters)

AP - A Pakistani commission investigating the U.S. raid that killed Osama bin Laden has ordered the government to prevent the al-Qaida chief's wives and children from leaving Pakistan without its permission.

AP - Pakistan has already paid dearly for its failure to know or acknowledge that Osama bin Laden was hiding for more than five years in a compound a short distance from a Pakistani military facility, Pentagon leaders insisted Wednesday.

AP - Defense Secretary Robert Gates says he believes "somebody" in Pakistan knew Osama bin Laden was hiding there, but there is still no evidence that top leadership in the country was aware.
